A NHW member has asked for the information to be circulated regarding a text message scam purporting to be from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

DWP ---Official reminder:
You have now been confirmed as eligible to apply for an Energy Support Grant for 2024-2025. This is a one-off payment of between £200 and £300 to help reduce the burden of energy bills on households in need.
It is important that you complete the online application process by Saturday 14 June 2025, as this will be considered an automatic waiver and the system will close your grant application.
